A common response to hard times is to throw up ones hands and ask: “Why me? Why now?” The problem with this attitude is that by playing victim, one gives up the opportunity to learn from adversity. Leaders need to be resilient to recover quickly from such hard times. Just as in sport, the leader (the coach) really shows his true qualities when his team is losing.
